Visit Rhody Roots in Warren, RI! Carl DeLuca, March 31, 2025April 1, 2025 We've been meaning to get to Rhody Roots ever since meeting owner Cassie at one of our RI Recommends events. But, you know how it is in Rhode Island—anything more than a 20-minute drive feels like crossing state lines, and Megan and I hadn’t been quite ready to take the RI Recommends show "on the Rhode." But we’ve finally embraced the grand adventure of Rhode Island travel—Providence, Newport, Wakefield... and yes, even the daring trek over the bridge to Warren. Their Scotch Eggs are a must-try: perfectly seasoned sausage wrapped around a soft-boiled egg, breaded, and fried to golden perfection. We also loved the Grilled Cheese special—slow-roasted pork shoulder, sautéed spinach, pepper jack cheese, Sambal cream cheese, and pickled onions, served with a creamy tomato soup topped with Parmesan croutons. And of course, Megan had to get the Chicken & Waffles—because priorities! A Funky, Artsy Atmosphere The vibe at Rhody Roots is as eclectic as the menu—funky, artsy, and impossible to pin down. Bohemian, maybe? Cassie, help us out here! The restaurant’s journey from a food truck to a brick-and-mortar spot reflects the passion of Chef Lou and Cassie. With decades in the restaurant industry, they’ve poured their love for hospitality and creative cuisine into this cozy spot. Chef Lou’s JWU education and hands-on experience let him craft dishes using local ingredients while keeping the menu allergen-friendly. Almost everything can be made gluten-free, and the vegan and vegetarian options are so tasty, you won’t miss a thing. Bold Flavors and Local Flair Rhody Roots is all about bold flavors and local flair, with inventive dishes like Duck Tacos—crispy duck, vibrant slaw, and a sweet-spicy sauce that’s pure magic. It’s the kind of spot where you can enjoy everything from sushi to comforting poutine. With local artwork adorning the walls and a cozy, laid-back atmosphere, Rhody Roots feels like a love letter to Warren’s creative spirit. Whether you’re here for brunch or dinner, it’s a relaxed, welcoming place that feels like home. Visit Rhody Roots Whether you’re looking for bold flavors, comfort food, or just a fun spot to hang out, Rhody Roots delivers. Stop by Wednesday to Saturday, 10 AM to 8 PM, or Sunday, 10 AM to 6 PM—and tell them you saw it on RI Recommends! Carl DeLuca Share this:FacebookX Restaurants Uncategorized
