We finally made it back to Massimo on Federal Hill in Providence—and honestly, what took us so long?

So... about that pasta.

We came hungry, and the Spaghetti al Nero con Aragosta did not disappoint. This dish just might be the best pasta in Rhode Island—bold claim, we know, but hear us out.

• 🖤 Black squid ink spaghetti
• 🦞 Lobster, mushrooms, and peas
• 🍄 A silky lobster cream sauce
• 🧄 Toasted bread crumbs for texture

It’s salty, rich, dramatic, and everything you want a pasta dish to be.

What else we tried (and loved):

• Veal Chop Parmesan – hearty, crispy, and incredibly satisfying
• Meatballs with Fusilli and Burrata – a beautiful pairing of comfort food and creamy indulgence
• Espresso Martini – one of the best we’ve had anywhere (and we’ve had a few!)
• Sicilian Sunset – made with Massimo’s private select Maker’s Mark, it was the perfect cocktail to go with everything
