    We finally made it back to Massimo on Federal Hill in Providence—and honestly, what took us so long?

    Located right on Atwells Avenue, Massimo is part of the award-winning Centro Restaurant Group and has been a go-to for elevated Italian cuisine since it opened in 2016. With its second-floor views of the Providence skyline and an interior that strikes the perfect balance between classic charm and modern sophistication, it continues to stand out as one of the best Italian dining experiences in the city. 🇮🇹🌇

    So... about that pasta.

    We came hungry, and the Spaghetti al Nero con Aragosta did not disappoint. This dish just might be the best pasta in Rhode Island—bold claim, we know, but hear us out.

    • 🖤 Black squid ink spaghetti
    • 🦞 Lobster, mushrooms, and peas
    • 🍄 A silky lobster cream sauce
    • 🧄 Toasted bread crumbs for texture

    It’s salty, rich, dramatic, and everything you want a pasta dish to be.

    What else we tried (and loved):

    • Veal Chop Parmesan – hearty, crispy, and incredibly satisfying
    • Meatballs with Fusilli and Burrata – a beautiful pairing of comfort food and creamy indulgence
    • Espresso Martini – one of the best we’ve had anywhere (and we’ve had a few!)
    • Sicilian Sunset – made with Massimo’s private select Maker’s Mark, it was the perfect cocktail to go with everything
